Bauchi state government has approved the release of 120 million naira for the purchase and distribution of food items to Christian community in the state for this year’s Christmas celebrations. The Chairman of the Distribution Committee Mr Abdon Dalla Gin made this known while briefing journalists at Government House Bauchi. Mr Abdon Gin said the committee had commenced distribution of the procured items including cattle’s, rams, bags of rice and vegetable oil ahead of the Christmas celebrations. He listed the beneficiaries to include the state chapter of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Christian functionaries in the state government, Christian groups and individuals, military and paramilitary organizations as well as political parties .
